Evaluation || Question Seven
Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?
There's a copy on my blog of my preliminary.

In my preliminary I feel I have learnt a lot to the last piece of coursework I have produced. Firstly I learned how to use the camera long shot and short shot.

Long Shot
Short Distance
Another one, is that we learned to how to use the camera and how to make it not wobbly and effective for the audience to enjoy. For example in the preliminary the camera was keep moving up and down and not going the same way as the character. We used camera techniques inside of using Final Cut Pro too much. For example, in our final piece coursework by using the camera we did 180 degree rule by holding the camera still and turning around too show that the character is feeling dizzy.
It's not a good example put I posted it on my blog of my final piece of work.
In preliminary we didn't care about the background noise and what was happening in the setting. After, watching our preliminary and noticing the background sound created bad impression on the film we decided to make sure that there's no one in the room and noise was in the room. As our film was a horror film, being in school alone in class room creates scariness to the character and to the audience wondering what's happening why's there's no one in the class/school?
Also, in the preliminary we didn't put transitions and sounds from final cut pro. After getting used to Final Cut Pro we discovered that we can put sound tracks from Garage Band and transitions from Final Cut Pro. It made made our coursework film much better by putting everything together not making it go jumpy. Also, my adding sound tracks it created tension and excitement making the audience wondering what's going to happen.
This how we did editing and added sound tracks.
Another one is that camera zooming in. In the preliminary we didn't use the camera to zoom in and out. In the final one we used a lot of zooming in. This created tension on the film and make it exciting it. By making the camera shake and zooming in creates tension on the scene. Audiences enjoy it when the camera shakes and zooms in they get excited and enjoy watching the film.
This is the scene in our final coursework where we used zooming in and shaky the camera at the same time.
Although we had correct amount of time, we didn't keep it up by the time management. In our preliminary we was hushing it and not making it good enough. But, in our coursework we thought about the time's and and how long each scene going to take,
Lastly is the Mise-En-Scene. Mise-En-Scene is very important and special. I believe making sure the make up, props, clothing etc correct would make the filming exciting. In preliminary we wore normal clothes not wondering if it goes with the subject were talking about. Also, we didn't use no make up or props in our preliminary. In our coursework we used the school equipment's about the school girls and our clothes was smart to show she's from the school.
